What is collected, and why

Enquiry forms ask only what is needed to answer you. If a question is not relevant to your situation, leave it blank and say so.
Who processes it
We use a small number of established providers. Each processes data on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with institutions, universities or third parties for their own marketing.
Institutions and applications
Where the work involves an application, information is sent to the institution or awarding body you are applying to, with your knowledge and at your direction. Nothing is submitted on your behalf without you knowing what it contains.
Cookies
The site sets no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them. The banner shown on your first visit records that decision, and you can change it by clearing your browser data for this site.
Declining means analytics and advertising cookies are not set. The site works normally either way.
How long it is kept
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: two years from last contact
- Client records and correspondence: six years after the work ends, which is the retention period for business records in Ireland
- Documents you sent for review: returned or deleted on request, otherwise held with the client record
- Site usage data: 14 months
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, ask for processing to be restricted, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Write to burcu@bunguo.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
